Life's been a huge snooze for me because I have not been doing anything productive at all apart from eating and playing games on my iPhone. Weather in Melbourne isn't helping much either. It has been raining for a few days and it's pretty annoying because the rain here is more of like a heavy drizzle rather than the usual downpour we have in Malaysia. What can I do here? Nothing much really. I've been slacking so much it's not even funny anymore! Having two units in one semester sucks! I need more workload to fill my empty days.
Anyway, in the previous entry I talked about a little toy that I picked up in KL before I left. It is a toy TLR (Twin Lens Reflex) camera that requires self-assembly. I finished putting it together few nights ago and I took about 2.5 hours including searching for translated English manual plus Youtubing to guide me through certain parts. I think experts would only take about 0.5 to 1 hour. Lol. It was a very fun process I must say. It gave me an idea of how the shutter works and also how the image is projected on the viewfinder.
I took a few test shots but nothing too serious yet because the weather has not been kind to me. This camera works best during the day when the sun is shining but every time when I bring this baby out it tends to rain. As I'm writing this post now the sun is glaring at me but I'm not fit to go out today as I'm suffering from the once-in-a-month pain. Lol. I'm quite eager to find out how the pictures will look like after they have been developed. I need at least 15 more exposures before I could roll this film up! I'll definitely post pictures taken with this baby when I have them :)
The delicious pasta that I cooked... hohoho
The magazine + TLR kit
The parts!
And voila...! The finished product.

I'm back in the land of the dead! Weeeee. How exciting. Nothing much has been going on... everyday is pretty much the same except I only have two subjects this semester and after two more weeks of Saturday classes, I'll be left with one class per week. I'll be super damn free, literally. I know, I'm supposed to look for a part-time job to occupy the rest of the week but just so you know it's pretty hard to look for a decent job here that pays well especially since I'm not local and Caucasian. I do not want to work in an Asian environment that underpays their workers okay. I'm totally against that :D Weekends or weekdays, they are all the same to me. Sigh sigh sigh. I miss Malaysia and my friends!!! Can some of you come over to pay me a visit?
Before I left for KLIA, I was over at KLCC and I picked up something cool… at least to me it is :) It requires a little assembling action by moi and I have not started that mini project of mine just yet. I wanted to take a picture of the before and after result and my camera is not with me now so I can't do that :) I reckon that'll be my only excitement for the month. It's like a little Japanese toy that does more than the usual toys do. You'll know what I mean when I blog about it next.
Also, I dropped by at the Apple Store the other night and I L-I-K-E the iPad! I don't know why especially since it's not super practical but I'm considering of getting one for myself :) It'll be like a replacement for the iMac/Macbook for the time being. Many say it's useless but I disagree! When you have it, you'll eventually use it… no? Lately I have been wanting to splurge on gadgets more so than on bags mostly because I think with a bag I could actually pay half of my school fees with it and the total value of my bags could buy me a nice car here already. So, spend less and save more (asssss if)!

Once again it's time for me to say goodbye to my dearest family and friends here in Malaysia. There's nothing more that I need; being home with them made me feel happy and contented again. This trip was a short one but I got to spend time with my family and that is what matters most. I'll never be ready to leave home but I know I have to do it again, just to complete what I started a year ago. As usual I didn't get to meet everyone but the messages and calls that I've been getting are suffice to remind myself that I'm always welcome to come home. Distance does not come between family and friends like how relationships are affected. Time passes but I'm glad to know that I'm not forgotten.

It's been a long time since I came around,
It's been a long time but I'm back in town,
And this time I'm not leaving without you.
You said sit back down where you belong,
In the corner of my bar with your high heels on,
Sit back down on the couch where we made love for the first time.

One of the songs taken off the "Down with Love" soundtrack. It's a Taiwanese drama series with Jerry Yan and Ella in it. Pretty funny and dumb I would say but very romantic nonetheless! There was a time when I listened to happy love songs but nowadays I only listen to sad love songs. Sigh sigh. She kinda reminds me of Kay Tse... just a little. Enjoy!
I took a step, and another
I just discovered that I've gone on a circle
Walked so many years and now I'm back to the start
The gift you gave me, isn't it too special?
Not avoiding any unsettling rumours
But gradually we are drifting apart until we have no feelings anymore
Maybe you wanted me, a long time ago, to distance myself from you.

I fell in love early this year when I saw the brand new iMac at the Apple store. I've always been a fan of laptops because of the need to travel from Melbourne to Malaysia but recently I find myself wanting a desktop mostly because it's more durable and the sleek design of the iMac makes it harder to resist :( Since my laptop was still holding up I didn't want to waste the money on something that I didn't really needso I bought one for someone else who needed it. Sigh. Lately my laptop has been giving me problems, the webcam died due to some Microsoft issue, start up is so slow, hangs once in a while, gets overheated easily and the battery lasts only about 45 minutes if I'm lucky. My savings were enough to buy one iMac and since I'm saving for my last semester's school fees I can't really afford buying anything. The last time I went shopping and bought something was in early March. I've been quite tempted to visit the Apple store but just decided against it every time because I do not want to see or touch the i Mac, MacBook or iPad... or else I'll fall in love again. The iPad seems useless but if I could have it I will put it to good use. I didn't know I would rely so much on my current iPhone before I got it. Nowadays I'm always just on my iPhone and sometimes I don't even need to use the laptop. So, imagine if I could have the iPad... I'll just play with it every night! Also, the MacBook Air... why... why... why why why. Why do they have so many yummy sleek gadgets :( All I can do now is just dreammmm.
