Soaking up the sun!

The plane ride to Gold Coast was torturing although it only took about 3 hours or was it 2? I didn't have much sleep the night before and I couldn't fall asleep on the plane either. Before that, the flight was delayed for a bit which was common for budget airlines. Pffft. Finally after 3 hours or so we touched down in the land of sunshine! The weather reminded us of Malaysia. HUMID. But not as bad. We took a bus ride to Artique Apartments where we stayed through out the entire trip. The apartment was indeed of 4-5 stars. Absolutely breathtaking views.

After changing into appropriate beach attire we went for lunch nearby before hitting the beach. For the first time in my life I got into the water. I can't swim for shits... but they ~~forced~~ encouraged me a lot along the way. I recall being pulled deeeeper into the sea by Shin and the others. Boo. I was screaming all the way. I have a lot of fears, one of them being water. After surviving a couple of big ass waves, I started to enjoy myself. I think it's the company that really matters. I can so imagine being anti social and sitting on the beach myself if I went with other people. Before it got dark we headed back to shower and change for dinner.

Dinner was... erm... a rip off. No further comments on that. After dinner we took a stroll down town and walked around until we were familiar with the streets, only because the city was small... just like Melbourne's. Infinity was our next destination as it was famous for being the ultimate tourist attraction in the city. Kinda hard to explain the concept in words, I guess you gotta go there to experience it yourself. It was like a maze, in the dark, with mirrors, LED lights, laser and a couple of surprises here and there. We had fun screaming.

Our first night in GC ended with the usual drinking + games session. I had to hit the sack earlier than the rest because I was so tired I couldn't speak properly let alone play games. Updates on day 2 soon. I took freaking 3 hours to complete this post! So sleeepy now.
